Wow ok! 2021 was a crazy year – lots of ups and downs in the world, but I was privileged and lucky enough to create a GREAT year for my career as an actor and producer.
My 2021 recap:
- Signed with my phenomenal agent Tabitha at KIT International Talent, and she helped me book a small part in my first big commercial, which you can watch here
- Produced my first short film, Scattered, which is awaiting film festival release
- Re-booked my first role where a director I worked with in the past liked working with me enough to bring me back (direct book)
- Steadily attended acting class for the whole year, and continue getting better
- Shot new headshots that fill in gaps for my commercial booking, and they are more specific to my theatrical casting
- Got my act together and made a commercial reel, this website, business cards, etc.
- Made $10k in revenue for acting and producing
These were all amazing steps for my second year in this new career, and I am so privileged and fortunate to have other consulting jobs that are flexible and supplement the income I need to live.
With these great achievements, I am going into 2022 with new, bigger, and better goals!
For acting, my goals are:
- Produce a super high quality, super specific theatrical demo reel (shooting in Feb)
- Find theatrical representation in LA (my agent already expanded commercially in LA, woo!)
- Become SAG-eligible to open up a whole new world of roles and possibilities
- Book a SAG role (commercial or theatrical)
- And finally…. book a co-star role on television! That’s my big one for the year and my ultimate goal!!!
For producing, my goals are:
- Run a successful festival circuit with Scattered
- Find shorts distribution for Scattered (maybe even made $1-2k on it!)
- Along with my boss, Chris Donahue, pitch and sell a film or television show
- And finally…. staff on a large network/streaming tv show (hopefully as an associate producer or something similar)!
2022 is going to be a big year for me, and I feel ready for it with a plan and concrete action items to make myself more marketable, a stronger actor, and a stronger producer. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!
